Pluralumn* Workshops

I have been part of the scientific and organising team of the Pluralumn* workshop series since 2022. The workshops bring together alumni of the German Network for Pluralism in Economics and early-career researchers for paper presentations, methodological exchange and discussion across different schools of economic thought.

The series has included the 3rd workshop in 2022, the 4th in Bamberg in 2023, the 5th in Duisburg-Essen in 2024, the 6th in Hamburg in 2025 and the 7th online workshop in 2026.

Structural Inequality, Climate Policy, and Social Perception

Special session organised with Jan David Weber and Katharina Preuß. The session treats structural inequality as a process of circular cumulative causation across economic dynamics, institutions and social-political perceptions. It brings together work on path dependence and cumulative growth, institutional lock-in, climate transformation and the political consequences of perceived inequality.

The session ran in two blocks on 11 September 2026. The programme included work on climate justice and debt, regional cohesion, comparative development models and adolescents' perceptions of inequality.

From Micro to Macro via Network Interaction

This NetSci satellite focused on one of the central aggregation problems in the social sciences: how local interaction between heterogeneous agents produces macro-level outcomes that cannot be read off from individual behaviour alone. The programme connected work on social and economic networks, emergent macro properties, collective action, perception and empirical identification.

WEDSSS / Wealth Data Science School

I participated as an expert in the Wealth Data Science Summer School. I gave a lecture on Some Aspects of Power Laws in Economics and the Social Sciences and led a project group on Redistribution in multiplicative growth regimes. The school uses a research-incubator format to connect computational social science and substantive questions around wealth.
